Welcome to Practical 4 Blog
29 July 2021
For this week's practical, the group made use of the cardboard joinery knowledge taught in practical 3 into usage. The group was tasked to create a small game using cardboard as the main material. After some discussion as a group, we decided to go with the 4-player pucket game.
For the 4-player pucket game the group mainly makes use of a few joineries which include the flange, score and bend and lastly layering for the puckets itself. As for the shooting mechanism the group decided to use a thicker rubber band with a wider width so that the pucket would have enough force to shoot across to the opposing side.
As this is a 4-player pucket game, the group decided to make a spinning goal in the middle such that shooting a pucket to another person is more unpredictable and makes it more fun this way. Below are some of the pictures taken when making the game.
